Tiffany Moore joints the Akiptan team as a Program Officer.
Tiffany Moore is an enrolled member of the Lower Brule Sioux Tribe. She received an undergraduate degree in Ecology and Environmental Science from South Dakota State University. She is currently in her last semester of achieving her master’s in Administration and Leadership from Northern State University. She is in the process of applying for her doctorate degree from the University of South Dakota. She is currently a full-time Agriculture Teacher and works part time with Akiptan where she is focused on curriculum development. She was raised on her brother’s ranch in Lower Brule, South Dakota and also helped her dad and uncle in the livestock auction business. She served as an intern for the Natural Resources Conservation Service for eight years of her life. She was in the cattle business for nine years of her life. After moving to Dupree, South Dakota, she found her passion for being in the classroom and spreading knowledge to the youth on the Cheyenne River Lakota Nation.
Tiffany has one amazing son, Westyn (6 years old), who makes her world go round. Westyn is the reason she pushes herself to the max. Tiffany is an absolute role model for him and wants to show him that if she can do it, he can too! Her grandpa Ronald told her one day, “I might not have been rich, but I taught all my kids how to work”. This is the motto Tiffany lives by. She believes that a little elbow grease never hurt anyone. Tiffany enjoys learning new things and pushing herself educationally to the next level. She never stops learning. Tiffany is excited to have been selected as Akiptan’s new part-time Program Officer.
“I am so excited to work with and serve the amazing Akiptan clients!”
