Twenty scholarships will be awarded to Native American high school seniors.
Akiptan is pleased to announce our 2023 Okhíčhaŋye (O-KHI-CHAN-YE) Scholarship. We are committed to supporting the next generation of Native Agriculture Stewards and are pleased to offer our Okhíčhaŋye (O-KHI-CHAN-YE - the Lakota word for cultivation) Scholarship in its second year. Native American high school seniors pursuing a degree that will support the native agriculture industry are encouraged to apply.
Twenty scholarships in the amount of $1,000.00 each will be awarded to Native American high school seniors graduating in the Spring of 2023 with plans of pursuing higher education in the agriculture industry. This can include but is not limited to animal science, agriculture business, agriculture economics, horticulture, etc. Please visit our website to learn more about how your post-secondary degree fits within the Okhíčhaŋye Scholarship guideline. The application is available on our website at www.akiptan.org/scholarship and the deadline to apply is March 30th, 2023 at 4:00 pm MST.
