Last week, Akiptan’s Executive Director, Skya Ducheneaux, was elected to Opportunity
Finance Network’s (OFN’s) Board of Directors during the 40th Annual OFN Conference

“It is truly humbling to be voted into this position by my peers. I am grateful for the opportunity to bring the Native voice to the national community development field and excited to help shape the future of the industry,” commented Skya.
Other candidates seated this year include John Holdsclaw IV, President & CEO of
Rochdale Capital; Nelly Rojas-Moreno, Chief Financial Officer of National Association
for Latino Community Asset Builders; and Arlo Washington, President & CEO of People Trust Community Loan Fund. Each year, new members of the Board are selected by vote from OFN’s member organizations that include hundreds of CDFIs and other
mission-driven community lenders.
“Congratulations to the other successful candidates! I am looking forward to working with a great group of professionals who are all working to create equitable access to capital in their communities,” said Skya.
